Omega Energy will utilise thermal waste treatment processes such as gasification as its energy from waste technology within Australia.

After a thorough and objective review of available technologies worldwide and advancements in the resource and energy recovery industry, Omega Energy has shortlisted a number of thermal waste treatment providers due to their superior characteristics. The adopted technology will be selected base on its ability to meet the following objectives:

Little to no costly pre-processing, ability to handle all wastes.
Low capital costs.
Low maintenance requirements.
Acceptable limits from direct emissions from the recovery process
The highest level of energy and commodity recovery.

In short the nominated process used will be based on high-temperature thermal treatment to convert waste into energy (gas), scrap metal and non-metal products. The process will have little to no ash, acceptable air emissions and have little left to landfill.
